Family Planning Council, a large, well-regarded not-for-profit human services agency in downtown Philadelphia, is seeking an experienced Coordinator of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative in the Adolescent Programs & Males Services Department. The successful candidate will be a team player who will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing the community-wide, multi-component teen pregnancy prevention initiative. Participation in activities during weekend and evening hours required.

Primary job responsibilities include:
• Provide direct technical assistance and support to family planning provider clinics
• Increase accessibility of and linkages to family planning services
• Expand services for teens in areas of unmet need in the community
• Market and publicize FPC’s clinical network of service providers
• Work with community partners to increase referrals to clinical services
• Create individual clinic plans to improve customer and clinic services
• Develop linkages between community partners and family planning provider clinics
• Assist with community event and advisory board planning and information dissemination

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least two years of direct clinical family planning service experience
• Experience working with youth and linking them to family planning services
• Extensive knowledge of strategies supportive of adolescent reproductive health
• Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary personnel including service providers, community residents, parents, and youth
• Experience with clinic procedures and operations
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and monitor multiple activities
• Ability to travel and a familiarity with West and Southwest Philadelphia
