Job description
The Coordinator, Marketing will work with the Community Development Corporation (CDC) on the development and execution of the strategic direction of the CDC efforts to increase the overall visibility of the neighborhoods the CDC serves, and to elevate its community development services. The Coordinator, Marketing will be the strategist for maintaining, developing and implementing creative methods for promoting a strong public image for the neighborhood.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communications and Public Relations Planning, Execution and Oversight
• Develop and design online and print advertising, brochures, newsletters, and other marketing materials. Make artistic layouts independently under general supervision and within brand guidelines.
• Support CDC marketing, including graphic design, email marketing, and social media updates.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive, creative and strategic marketing, branding and communication plan for the CDC to support its neighborhood plan, programmatic and neighborhood promotion goals.
• Work with CDC staff to develop a communications plan that addresses needs. Identify other successful methods for both internal and external communications strategies.
• Coordinate CDC/neighborhood branding and brand awareness in partnership with senior staff and by working with the Development office; create and ensure consistent use of messages and graphic identity across the organization.

Required Experience :
• Five or more years of communications and marketing experience; demonstrated record of leadership in the development and implementation of comprehensive communications programs in a complex, multi-layered work environment
• Proficiency in various design software programs including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with online communications programs such as Constant Contact, Facebook, and Twitter.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Public Policy, Urban Planning or a related field
