Coordinator – College and Internship Coach (Part-Time), Project HOME

Job Summary:
The College and Internship/Job Coach ensures the likelihood of success for Project HOME Teen Program students who are enrolled in post-secondary college and trade school programs. In order to ensure success, the Coach conducts formal student check-ins four (4) times per year; provides office hours (in-person and virtual); supports summer internship experiences; prepares and administers scholarships for students who attend college / trade programs; and plans and leads Winter Workshop. This position also supports Project HOME Teen Program high school students by offering job preparation services twice a week and taking students on college/trade school tours. Finally, the Coach plans and hosts an annual College and Trade Fair that is open to our students and all community members. This part-time position is 20 hours/week with hybrid, flexible scheduling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts formal check-ins four (4) times per year with Project HOME Teen Program students who are enrolled in college / trade programs. Provides office hours (in-person and virtual) for additional and flexible student support.
- Supports summer internship experiences for students in college / trade programs.
- Prepares, calculates, and administers scholarships for students who attend college / trade programs.
- Plans and leads annual Winter Workshop for current college / trade students. This event provides students an opportunity to convene and participate in life skill building and professional development.
- Provides post-secondary educational support for Project HOME young adult residents as needed.
- Supports Project HOME Teen Program high school students by planning and hosting college / trade school tours and offering job preparation services on-site twice a week. Job preparation services include assisting with job applications, resume and cover letter writing, interview practice, etc.
- Plans and hosts annual College and Trade Fair that is open to our students and community members.
- Manages day-to-day administrative and operational tasks that relate to the tasks above.
- Accurately tracks and reports program data to Teen and College Access Program Manager.
- Provides support for special projects as assigned.
