The Department of Agriculture’s Office of Faith-Based and Community initiatives would like to share with you a new grant opportunity available through USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The NRCS provides leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, maintain, and improve our natural resources and environment.
The Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI) is a voluntary program established to foster conservation partnerships that focus technical and financial resources on conservation priorities in watersheds and airsheds of special significance. Under CCPI, funds are awarded to State and local governments and agencies; Indian tribes; and non-governmental organizations that have a history of working with agricultural producers.
This grant opportunity is available to a variety of organizations, including faith-based and community groups. Applications are due by March 7, 2006.
