2015-16 Cooking Crew After School Instructor
Cooking Crew is the radical transformation of school food, driven by the energy of the community. Directed through Penn’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships University-Assisted Community Schools program (UACS), Cooking Crew is part of comprehensive in school and out-of-school time initiative at sites for West Philadelphia schools. The Cooking Crew Afterschool Instructor will oversee the safe and hygienic implementation of all Cooking Crew sessions at the school site.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school degree required, College degree preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years working with elementary and middle school aged youth
- Knowledge of youth development and youth work best practices
- 1-2 years in culinary, business and/or education field(s)
- Completion and passing of all Federal and State background checks/clearances
- Ability to work until at least 6:30 p.m. weekdays
- Experience with urban settings and diverse populations
- Excellent skills with Microsoft office suite
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills
