Workshop targets engaging African American girls
United Way’s Center for Youth Development is offering You Go Girl! – Conversations About African American Females, on Saturday, May 22nd from 9am to noon at United Way, 1709 Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
The workshop will help participants learn how to positively engage African American girls while combating the challenges they face, especially the lack of positive role models and images. There will also be an interactive discussion on strategies for developing successful black female children and youth.
