Contested Lands: Teaching Indigenous Rights and Resistance Through Photo Stories
Posted by Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting on August 13, 2018
Activities and resources to support teaching indigenous rights and visual literacy.
The stories of indigenous communities and individuals often go untold. In a full issue of Pacific Standard devoted to these stories, “A Journey Through Contested Lands” provides six 10-minute reads featuring powerful images by Magnum photographers.
Our education resources can help students understand indigenous issues, make local connections, and expand their visual literacy.
