The 3rd Annual Beyond GI Joe: The Contemporary College Student Veteran Symposium is scheduled for March 27th and 28th, 2014 at Marywood University in Scranton, PA.
With the influx of veterans into higher education and the community at large, it is important for professionals to have an understanding of the military community and culture. This seminar will offer an intensive and interactive professional development experience to enhance the attendee’s understanding of today’s veteran and strengthen their ability to better serve this growing population. Relevant across various professions, this seminar is especially pertinent to higher education professionals and mental health professionals.

Approved for CEU’s: Educators – 11 professional development ACT 48 hours. Social Workers – 11 continuing education hours for social workers (NJ/PA LSW licensure renewal) Counselors- 11 continuing education hours certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
