Connect Service with Voting, Advocacy, and Civic Engagement on MLK Day of Service

Posted by Youth Service America on December 14, 2021

In a 1957 speech titled “Give Us The Ballot,” Dr. King spoke bluntly about the need for equal voting rights. As we begin 2022 and a new national election cycle, MLK Day of Service is a perfect opportunity to register people to vote. Around 4 million people turn 18 every single year, so it’s always a good time to register new voters and help young people connect their service with voting, advocacy, and civic engagement.
