Congreso: Full-Time Next Step Credentialing and Employment Specialist

Position Summary
Congreso is in search of a motivated, dynamic individual to help our participants to become trained, employed professionals who can support themselves and their families. The person in this position will create new partnerships with credentialing programs and employers to forge a pipeline of workforce-ready adults into the community. This individual will also help participants learn much-needed professional skills by creating quality internship opportunities and facilitating Job Readiness Training classes.
The Next Step Credentialing and Employment Specialist is responsible for supporting the Next Step Manager with creating and operating Training/Employment Pathways. The individual in this position will be responsible for initiating and maintaining employment partnerships with outside agencies and within Congreso that provide professional certification and career pathways for Next Step participants. In addition, this position initiates and supports internship opportunities with employers for Next Step participants, including on-boarding and follow-up of student interns. The Next Step Credentialing and Employment Specialist will also facilitate the Job Readiness Training (JRT) program within Next Step and support with transportation subsidies and procurement of supportive services for participants on the Next Step career track.
