Confronting the Legacies of Mass Abuse Through Transitional Justice

Justice RICHARD GOLDSTONE, who played a key role in South Africa’s transition from apartheid to democracy, will give the keynote address at the October 12 symposium, TIMES OF RECKONING: CONFRONTING THE LEGACIES OF MASS ABUSE THROUGH TRANSITIONAL JUSTICE.
This daylong symposium organized by Professor RACHEL LÓPEZ and the Drexel Law Review will gather leading scholars and practitioners to explore the diverse contexts in which transitional justice occurs, how transitioning societies memorialize past injustices and the role that foreign courts can play in adjudicating human rights abuses.
