What is the business case for building and maintaining corporate-community partnerships to address complex social problems? Corporations and community groups alike have much to gain, and lose, from these arrangements. Join an interactive audience of not-for-profit, corporate and academic leaders exploring both the potential and the pitfalls of combining corporate and community know-how and resources.

The conference will feature three live case study workshops:

Sister Mary Scullion, co-founder and Executive Director of Project H.O.M.E (http://www.projecthome.org/) discussing her approach to initiating partnerships with corporate funders while maintaining the delicate balance between opportunism and strategy.

Chip Roach, former Chair of Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors (http://www.prufoxroach.com/aboutus/charities.cfm), describing the business impact of the firm’s charitable investment in dozens of community housing organizations.

Neil Batiancila, Deputy Director of City Year Philadelphia (http://www.cityyear.org/sites/philadelphia/), reflecting on the board-level negotiations required to balance community and corporate interests and goals.
