The Society for Community Research and Action – Division 27 of the American Psychological Association invites you to its 9th Biennial Conference

June 4 – 7, 2003 New Mexico Highlands University Las Vegas, New Mexico

A primary goal of the 9th Biennial Conference of the Society for Community Research and Action is to foster constructive discussion, interaction, and exchange of ideas involving community research and action. The conference provides a forum for presenting exciting new work from professionals and community members in all areas of community research and action, including new contributions to theory, methodology, and practice; implementing and disseminating innovative programs; and public policy.

Conference registration includes admission to all sessions, lunch on full conference days, continental breakfast, and a dinner/social event. Participants will have the option of staying in one of several local hotels and motels, most of which are a short walk from the NMHU campus, or rooms in the NMHU dormitories. Further details about conference registration, including travel arrangements, lodging, and information about conference accessibility, are available on the website. Persons or organizations wishing to exhibit materials at the conference should contact Jean Hill (jlhill@nmhu.edu).

CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Proposals are invited for sessions on a wide range of topics that address the conference themes. Rather than emphasizing paper presentations, the conference encourages innovative programs that provoke discussion and exchange. The deadline for application of proposals is November 17, 2002. For additional information, and to submit a proposal online, please visit the conference website.
