Conference Coordinator Position
The Institute for Global Education and Service Learning is seeking a part time staff member beginning in mid-August 2005 until April 2006, approximately 20 hours per week to coordinate the planning for the 2006 National Service Learning Conference in Philadelphia, March 22-25, 2006. Responsibilities include working with conference committees, organizing certain logistical elements, acting as a liason between local, regional, and national partners, assisting with fundraising, and other duties necessary to promote and support the conference. Excellent organizational, communication, computer and interpersonal skills a must. Experience with event planning helpful. This position is best suited for someone who can work independently, with some direction provided by the Executive Director. Background and experience with service learning a plus! The hours are flexible, to be discussed and determined with the Executive Director and may vary each week, depending on the needed tasks. Must be available full time during the week of March 20-26th.
