THE CONDITION OF EDUCATION: AN ANNUAL SNAPSHOT
Every year, the federal government assembles a mountain of data that, in aggregate, reveals important trends in education. Valerie Strauss highlights selected data from the 2003 report, “The Condition of Education,” from the U.S. Department of Education. Categories of findings include: student learning; teaching/academic trends; voting participation by level of educational attainment; and college demographics and completion rates.
