COMMUNITY SERVICE/SERVICE LEARNING COORDINATOR

Juniata College is seeking energetic candidates for the position of Community Service/Service Learning Coordinator. The primary role of this position is to plan and implement an experientially based program of community service and service learning opportunities to support student learning and development.

Duties include: coordinating the Community Service Federal Work Study Program; developing and teaching a service-learning course; identifying community service/service learning sites for students; placing and evaluating student placements; tracking service hours; managing office budget; planning and leading service initiatives and trips; providing guidance to student organizations and working collaboratively with community organizations to create community service projects.

Position also serves as Bonner Leader Program Director, selecting student participants, providing bi-weekly programming, monthly
mentoring and overseeing student 2-year commitments.

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred. Experience and capabilities in successfully planning and implementing community service volunteer projects, project planning, communication and presentation skills, and PC office applications at the basic level.

Starting salary range: Mid-20,000s. Application deadline: June 3rd
