Community Service Associate/Community Service Coordinator
University Ministry and Service, a unit of the Division of Student Affairs, currently has a position for either a full-time Community Service Associate/Community Service Coordinator. This individual is responsible for working with the student leaders of the FOCUS programs. These programs include advocacy and direct service programs and range from programs that work with children to those that deal with issues of housing and homelessness as well as environmental issues. The Associate /Coordinator is responsible for, among other duties, training, budget, supervision of student coordinators, and management of vans and assurance of compliance with University Regulations as well as State and Federal Laws, such as compliance with child abuse clearances etc for students in those programs working with children. The Associate /Coordinator is also part of the team that deals with fundraising issues for Service Trips. Applicants for the Associate should have at minimum a Bachelors degree (to be considered for the Coordinator position applicants must have a Masters), some history of community service, management skills and ability to relate well with
people.
