Federal Reserve releases survey on low-to-moderate income communities
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has released its Community Outlook Survey for the fourth quarter of 2014, providing insight into the conditions and challenges facing low-to-moderate income (LMI) communities.
Sxity-one organizations in Philadelphia were asked to answer a questionnaire analyzing LMI communities and assessing changes in demand for their services. Their responses showed that three out of four indexes including job availability, affordable housing availability and access to credit have reached their highest values since the fourth quarter of 2010. Although housing availability and access to credit indexes showed stabilization rather than improvement, the job availability index indicated sustained improvement over the last three quarters.
