Community Organizer Internship, Campaign for Working Families

Posted by on November 29, 2010

Community Organizer Internship:

The Campaign for Working Families (CWF) is looking for engaged student interns to work as Community Organizers at our 11 free tax sites throughout the city of Philadelphia.  This year, the Campaign for Working Families is working with the Coalition for Healthy Families and Workplaces to spread awareness and gather support for Philadelphia’s Bill No. 080474, Promoting Healthy Families and Work Places to our constituents. The bill would protect employees’ right to earn sick time and enable individuals to stay home to recover or take care of a loved one while maintaining their job security and financial security.

The Campaign for Working Families is offering an internship opportunity to educate and mobilize community members at our 11community tax sites.  We are looking for candidates who are organized, energetic, have strong public speaking skills, can work independently in a fast-paced and diverse setting, and who strongly support the legislation.

Please send Resume with a statement of your interest in the position to: Molly Anglin, manglin@uac.org or 215-851-1759.
