[emailed 5/4/09]

The Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) First Suburbs Project is seeking applicants for the position of Community Organizer. The incumbent of this position performs outreach, coalition-building and policy promotion activities on behalf of the First Suburbs Project.  The position currently is envisioned as a five-month assignment, with the potential to convert it to a permanent position at the end of the five months.

The SEPA First Suburbs Project is a coalition of community organizations and institutions focused on solving common challenges facing the older, developed suburbs of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. The core belief of the SEPA First Suburbs Project is that state policy changes and regional solutions will best address these common challenges by using limited resources more efficiently to the benefit of all of the residents of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The Community Organizer will work closely with the President of the Board of Directors and Members of the Board to build the organization and promote its policy objectives.

A resume, cover letter and three references must be submitted via email to [email protected] by May 11th.

A copy of the full job description is attached and will be available on the SEPA First Suburbs Project’s website at http://sepafsp.org/
