Community of Practice: Beyond the Content: Creating a Holistic Learning Environment – Jan 8
Posted by Partners for Campus-Community Engagement (PCCE) on December 12, 2023
Partners for Campus-Community Engagement (PCCE) is pleased to offer the “Beyond the Content: Creating a Holistic Learning Environment“ Community of Practice. Priority will be given to participants from NY & PA.
How can we create authentic enthusiasm for the process of learning for our students as well as ourselves? Join us during the Spring 2024 semester to explore the practical tools for effective and authentic communication and collaboration in educational spaces. This community of practice will be an interactive opportunity for participants to explore their own social emotional development and identify strengths and tools for supporting relational skill building within themselves and in partnership with others. Through a combination of cooperative learning, direct instruction, and interactive practice, participants will come away with an enhanced understanding of how their experiences and identities inform a learning environment.
We will meet 6 times during the Spring Semester on the following dates in 2024: January 24, February 7 & 21, March 6 & 20, and April 3. All sessions will take place over zoom from 11:30am-1pm.
Facilitators:
- Emet Bergman LCSW (they/them), Psychotherapist and Founder of Transformative Psychotherapy LLC
- Dr. Laurie Worrall, former Executive Director of Partners for Campus-Community Engagement
