Community Ministry: Practical Models, New Resources Workshop
The Alban Institute and Word & Deed Network present a seminar on “Community Ministry: Practical Models, New Resources” Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University in Wynnewood, PA.
The workshop covers topics including:
– Creative ministry models.
– Strategies for engaging church and community members as volunteers.
– Practical advice on building relationships with your neighbors.
– Key steps in making community ministry an “engine” that drives your church.
– Funding ideas, partnering opportunities and a new network of peers.
– Renewed energy for community ministry.
Seminar leader Joy Skjegstad, has more than 20 years of experience starting and growing nonprofit organizations with a special focus on faith-based groups. This event also features Dr. Al Tizon, Director of Work and Deed Network a ministry of Evangelicals for Social Action and professor of holistic ministry Palmer Theological Seminary.
