Posted by Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation on November 11, 2025
The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation is pleased to announce Community Impact Week, to be held November 17–21, 2025. This citywide initiative will highlight the importance of health equity and literacy, offering free public programs that provide Philadelphians with vital health information, resources, and connections to trusted partners.
The week will culminate with the Community Impact Award Ceremony & Reception on Friday, November 21, where we will honor Dr. Baligh Yehia, President of Jefferson Health, for his leadership in advancing access and equity in health care. We will also be recognizing Senator Vincent Hughes and Sheryl Lee Ralph, MERCK, Rev. Dr. Lorina Marshall-Blake of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, and the students behind DreamEscape Library at Kensington Health Sciences Academy.
Through free public programs, wellness resources, and a culminating awards reception, we aim to highlight the power of health literacy in shaping stronger, healthier communities.
This year’s theme focuses on the ways individuals and institutions are bridging access, trust, and understanding in health.
