Precious Places: Scribe Video Center Community History Project Seeks “Memories”
What is the story of your Neighborhood? What are the stories of the community elders? What places hold the community’s memory?
In celebration of their 20TH Anniversary, Scribe Video Center this Fall will work with 15 neighborhoods or “barrios” to document those areas’ “Community History”. Some neighborhoods in Philly are being transformed, while others are facing continuing decay and some are on the rise. All of them have got some stories to tell!
Now is the time to reflect on those stories and the importance of the history they tell. There are many important places right here in our immediate surroundings. To find out if your neighborhood can be a part of “history” call Annalise Fonza at Scribe Video center at 215-735-3785 on the web at: http://www.scribe.org E-mail: [email protected]
