Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness RFP Launch
The Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness aims to promote positive health outcomes among immigrants and refugees living in Greater Philadelphia.
The Community Fund design alters the traditional process of philanthropic giving. In our approach, community-based, immigrant-serving organizations define the grantmaking strategy and disseminate grant dollars from a pooled fund. Ultimately, this process shifts the power dynamic in the funder-grantee relationship by asking service providers to not only inform a funding process but to actually drive it.
The Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness granting group, a collaboration of nine community-based, immigrant-serving organizations, has been working for several months to carefully and thoughtfully develop a Request for Proposals. The Community Fund is thrilled to announce the release of its first ever RFP on Monday, February 12 to the public.
