The Health Federation of Philadelphia (HFP) is offering an exceptional opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, community engagement, and technology in our Population health Department. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable, real world work experience guided by professionals who are committed to community impact alongside your professional development. We are seeking a talented, innovative and energetic candidate who is interested in and wants to be a part of the HFP mission to improve access to, and quality of, health and human services for underserved and vulnerable populations. Interns may work up to 22.5 hours (3 days) a week, will be assigned a mentor, and will work on a number of HFP projects in their assigned area.
The Community Engagement Intern will support the local expansion of Connect4health, a cloud-based social care and referral platform developed by findhelp that can be used to address numerous social determinants of health that impact health outcomes. This position involves identifying, engaging and introducing community organizations within the North Philadelphia Health Enterprise Zone (HEZ), and beyond, and encouraging them to become users of the platform.
