COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN PUBLIC EDUCATION
Community engagement is an ongoing, collaborative process in which a school district works with the public to build understanding, guidance, and active support for the education of community children. Activities under the umbrella of community engagement might be ongoing or organized to meet a specific need or attain a certain goal. This section of the Center for Public Education web site examines models for, and school district experiences with, a range of community engagement activities.
