School Reform Commission Announces Community Engagement forums for superintendent candidates
School Reform Commission to Conclude Finalist Selection Process on Friday, June 22
The School Reform Commission’s Superintendent Search Team today announced the next phase of the search process designed to inform the selection of a final candidate for Superintendent of the School District of Philadelphia. This phase is composed of two community engagement forums where members of the general public will have an opportunity to meet, hear from and ask questions of final candidates. The meetings are scheduled for Monday, June 25, and Tuesday, June 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the District’s Education Center located at 440 North Broad Street.
The School Reform Commission will announce the final candidates on Friday, June 22. In preparation for the candidates’ announcement the District is reaching out to parents, students, teachers and the school community at-large to invite them to attend the community forums.
Members of the public who are unable to attend in person have the option to watch the community forums live on Comcast Channel 52, Verizon Fios Channel 20 and online at http://www.philasd.org/stream. Questions or comments to the candidates may be submitted in advance by email at superintendentsearch@philasd.org.
