The Coalition Against Hunger has been an anti-hunger leader in the Philadelphia region for over two decades, building a regional movement to end hunger. The Coalition works to alleviate hunger in the region utilizing a holistic approach by providing immediate relief through our support of food pantries and soup kitchens; short-term relief helping thousands of people annually navigate the SNAP application process; and long-term systemic change through our extensive and impactful advocacy and education efforts.
Position Overview
The Community Educator is responsible for growing awareness and understanding around the issue of food insecurity, our programs at the Coalition, and increasing SNAP enrollment across the region. This position works closely with team members across the organization, including the SNAP Outreach & Hotline Counselor. This is a full time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Policy & Education.
