Community Driven Research Day: Advancing Community Health and Safety Through Partnerships – Jan 26

It’s not too late to register to attend the 13th annual Community Driven Research Day (CDRD), focused on the theme of “Advancing Community Health and Safety Through Partnerships.” The event will take place at 9:30am on January 26, 2023 at Drexel University’s Gerri C. LeBow College of Business.

CDRD encourages collaborations between researchers and community-based organizations (CBOs) and community groups who have research questions that they are interested in answering, specifically those that address social determinants of health.

Through live presentations, CBOs and community groups will highlight their questions to CDRD participants, who will include area non-profits, community groups, public sector partners, and researchers from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, The University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, Thomas Jefferson University, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. CBOs, community groups, academic researchers, and students will be able to meet and discuss potential, mutually-beneficial collaborations.

Following CDRD, a competitive pilot grant program supports partnerships formed as a result of participation in CDRD between academic researchers and community-based organizations. The grants are limited to faculty of the aforementioned academic institutions working in collaboration with community partners who present at CDRD.

• January 10, 2023: Registration deadline for CDRD presenters
• January 23, 2023: Registration deadline for CDRD non-presenters
