Community Conversation: The Impact of Trauma in Education

The Mayor’s Office of Education would like you to attend a Community Conversation around the Impact of Trauma in Education. Increasing trauma sensitivity in schools and within school communities is an aligned mission of the School District of Philadelphia and the Mayor’s Office of Education. Edward Gideon Elementary School has chosen to host a Community Conversation around Trauma in Education on March 15th, 2018 from 4:30PM-6:00Pm. This event is a forum to increase awareness around trauma in education and will include experts in the field to discuss ways the community can become more informed about strategies and responses to working with students affected by trauma and poverty. This event will take place at the Edward Gideon school located at 2817 W. Glenwood Avenue. Light refreshments will be served.
