Community Based Collaborative Processes Conference, 2003

Community Based Collaboratives Research Consortium’s national conference ‘Evaluating Methodologies and Environmental Outcomes of Community Based Collaborative Processes’ will be held September 14-16, 2003 at the Snow Bird Resort and Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference begins at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday September 14 and adjourns at 3 p.m. on Tuesday September 16, 2003. Funding for the conference is provided by a grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Those wishing to learn more about the consortium should visit the Consortium’s website at http://www.cbcrc.org. The conference will feature the results of research projects funded by the Consortium as well as emerging developments in the field of community based collaborative approaches to environmental management.
The conference will feature the findings of research sponsored by the Consortium in 2002-2003. To learn more about Consortium-funded projects go to http://www.cbcrc.org and select the ‘grants’ button. In addition, the Consortium is seeking presentations, workshops or panels concerning questions such as ‘How can we evaluate the environmental outcomes of community based collaborative’ agreements and management plans?’, ‘What processes are being used by collaborative groups that are different from traditional methods of resource management?’
