Internship description
Intern wanted as a ‘communications-savvy’ member of a spirited team hosting the 4th Annual Legs Against Arms 5K run to strengthen our legs as we oppose illegal handguns in Philadelphia to be held in April 2010. The event is sponsored by Philadelphia Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), a nonprofit group, which focuses on youth violence prevention. A Celebration of Youth which highlights the artistic, musical, athletic, performance skills of today’s youth follows the run. Intern would be responsible for print and media outreach, electronic promotion, team recruitment and the like. There is on site supervision by folks seasoned in these areas and with previous experience with the event. Check out PSR and LAA III at psrphila.org This is a volunteer position.
