The African Family Health Organization (AFAHO) provides health, human and educational services and programs to the African and Caribbean immigrant and refugee communities in the greater Philadelphia area. These services include a variety health education, case management, and psychosocial wellness programs which are available to the community regardless of age, nationality, language ability, or legal status.

AFAHO is seeking an experienced Communications and Development Specialist Contractor to contribute towards the work of the organization by assisting with enhancing the image of the organization; developing and disseminating communications materials utilizing different information platforms; updating the organizations’ social media and web–site accounts; attracting new stakeholders, encouraging donations and managing communications that facilitate positive relationships with key audiences, to include community members, current and prospective donors and institutional and other community partners. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating and supporting public–facing communications plans and programs, while utilizing various outreach platforms and publicity tools, including social media, websites, videos, infographics, newsletters, fact sheets, reports, and presentations.
