Member Duties : The Communications Assistant will help to engage community members as watershed stewards through use of communications tools, including but not limited to social media, grassroots campaigns, press releases and printed materials. Goals & Responsibilities: The Communications Assistant will expand TTF’s public presence by growing the organizational email contact list, tracking stakeholders who do not have email access and develop new methods to reach them, maintain and improve a dynamic social media presence and website, design targeted print materials, write press releases and create monthly newsletter content.
Increase watershed awareness in the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed by working with grassroots environmental organization, the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Inc. (TTF), a non-profit connecting residents, businesses and government as neighbors and stewards of this impaired, but critically important watershed in the Philadelphia metro region. Through educational programming, community outreach, networking services, and project coordination, TTF facilitates, supports, and initiates efforts to restore the health of the watershed, and to mobilize its communities as watershed stewards. TTF’s mission is to enhance the health and vitality of the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Creek and its watershed. The TTF office is located at the Awbury Arboretum in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.
