Communications and Marketing Coordinator, New Kensington CDC

Responsibilities:
Provide branding, marketing, advocacy and communications functions for NKCDC.
Spearhead and oversee web presence, e-communications, social media, and associated content.
Coordinate and write compelling content for print and digital materials, including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, e-newsletters, fundraising appeals, annual report and Impact brochure.
Ensure communication strategies are consistent throughout all programs through training (individually and as groups) and facilitate efficient communications processes.
Implement annual online giving campaign.
Spearhead public relations and communication strategies around cornerstone events and projects. Coordinate public event presence and day of outreach to the community.
Build relationships with various members of the press or community groups to facilitate effective and efficient communications.
Assist with the development of reporting systems, data collection, and outcomes analysis.
Work with Deputy Director to ensure communications goals identified within strategic plan are and assist with various administrative tasks including but not limited to grant writing, research, graphics, filing, copying, collating, and all other public relations and development activities.
Develop relationships with media and key internal and external agency stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of key messaging in all communications.
Create, manage, and update agency’s digital media and web postings. Track analytics.
Review and approve publications and collateral materials to ensure brand compliance.
Coordinate with printers and other external vendors.
Manage, maintain and organize NKCDC’s digital assets (files, photos, templates) for ease of use.
Document and update procedures related to job functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Professional manner and good interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with a broad range of constituents.
Experience working with community residents and volunteers.
Some Spanish language preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work, take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated flexibility in managing time-sensitive tasks and projects.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in various computer and internet programs including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe CS especially Photoshop and InDesign, online newsletter formatting, web content management systems, social media, etc.
