The Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia, a nationally-renowned public interest law firm devoted to equality and systemic change, seeks a communications and development associate. The associate provides direct support to the Law Center’s core staff and programming by expanding the organization’s capacity to engage donors and increase visibility. The associate implements digital communications strategies, provides administrative support to the communications and development director, manages important contact data and supports the board of directors in all things development and communications. The associate reports to the development and communications director.

Qualifications
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: development, communications, social media, event planning, journalism and/or public relations. Interest in law, nonprofit management, and social justice is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent critical reading, analytical thinking, and written and oral communication skills; take initiative; work well with teams; be extremely detail-oriented; and, be able to manage several projects at once. A Bachelors Degree is required. Experience with contact databases and social media platforms is preferred.
