Founded in 2006, Community Partnership School is a Pre-K through 5th grade independent elementary school located in North Central Philadelphia. Community Partnership School works tirelessly toward realizing its ambitious mission: to meet talent with opportunity by providing pre-kindergarten and elementary aged children from low-wealth, low-income backgrounds in North Philadelphia with a high-quality, affordable education that prepares them for lifelong success and strengthens the communities to which they belong.
Position Profile
Given our success to date, we are in a position to double the size of our school and broaden the scope of our impact. As the School enters its second decade we seek an experienced fundraiser with the know-how and drive to skillfully navigate the Philadelphia philanthropic community. The Communications and Civic Engagement Officer will have primary responsibility for individual and corporate volunteer program coordination, including our Young Friends group, event coordination, database management, and social media, website and various marketing and outreach initiatives that increase the school’s
visibility throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University, preferably but not exclusively in marketing, non-profit management or related field.
A proven commitment to working with a diverse constituency in a multicultural setting
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work well with a wide range of people
Three plus years of experience in marketing, event management, and electronic media for a
management/development office in a non-profit, educational institution or related field and
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated organizational capacity, comfort working in a team environment, and self-motivation to set and exceed goals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and donor database software
Compensation
This is a full time salary position requiring a 40- hour work week. Some evenings and weekends (for event execution) are required.
Salary is commensurate with experience
