Communication and Development Intern, Committee of Seventy

Posted by on July 01, 2013

Communication and Development Intern needed:

The Committee of Seventy is looking for an energetic self-starter seeking professional communication and fundraising experience in the non-profit field. The intern will report directly to the Development Manager. The Communication and Development intern’s experience will focus on supporting a new membership program, prospect research, website management, annual fundraising breakfast, developing and enhancing communication materials and other tasks as needed.

Students must show initiative, flexibility and creativity. Strong organizational, communications, writing and research skills are a must.

The Committee of Seventy fights for clean and effective government, fair elections and a better informed citizenry in Philadelphia and the region.

Seventy has been called a “government watchdog,” “the elections people” and a “think tank.” In fact, we are all of these and much more.

We are willing to stand alone on tough issues or collaborate with like-minded organizations, make noise to call attention to reform opportunities or work quietly behind-the-scenes. Seventy uses its voice and influence to help provoke debate and affect real change.

Our goal is not just good government for its own sake, but fundamental change that will lead to our region’s growth.
