Commercial Development in Empowerment Zones

Empowerment Zone grants offered
The Philadelphia Department of Commerce and the American Street and North Central Empowerment Zone Community Trust Boards have announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Neighborhood Economic Development Impact Grants.
The American Street Empowerment Zone has up to $415,000 available for commercial/industrial development within the American Street Empowerment Zone boundaries. The funds are available to nonprofit and for-profit developers for gap financing. Applications to the RFP are due Tuesday, May 20th.
The North Central Empowerment Zone has up to $600,000 available for commercial/industrial development within the North Central Empowerment Zone boundaries. The funds are available to nonprofit and for-profit developers for gap financing. Applications to the RFP are due Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
Attendance at the briefings is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
