Commercial Corridor Policy Agenda
Posted by Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations on May 22, 2017
On May 8, the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC) released its 2017 Commercial Corridor Policy Agenda. Neighborhood corridors are the economic arteries of Philadelphia, and strong corridors make strong communities!
The Policy Agenda makes a series of recommendations on how we can strengthen our neighborhood shopping districts, including:
- Make corridors clean, safe, and attractive
- Support small businesses
- Strengthen CDC capacity
- Improve Communication & Coordination
The agenda was developed by PACDC’s Commercial Corridor Working Group, which is made up of twenty PACDC member organizations that work on-the-ground to strengthen our neighborhood corridors and small businesses.
PACDC and our Commercial Corridor Working Group look forward to working with the Kenney Administration, City Council, and other entities to advance the ideas in this agenda to build on the great work of making neighborhood corridors economic anchors for our neighborhoods.
