College recruitment and info session for Latinx students

This spring, the Philadelphia Learning & Achievement Network (PLAN), a partnership between Temple University, St. Joseph’s University, Lincoln University of PA, and the Community College of Philadelphia, will be hosting an on-campus event geared towards Latino high school and community college students in the Philadelphia area.
“LatinX” is intended to aid in increasing the representation of LatinX students on campus(es). The purpose of this conference is to:
1. Expose LatinX students in the Philadelphia area who are currently enrolled in 9th-11th grade in area high schools to the college selection process
2. Inform 12th grade-community college students about the transfer/dual admission process with area 4 year colleges/universities
3. Provide an opportunity to hear from/speak with prominent members of the LatinX community from the Philadelphia area
4. Encourage more LatinX students to apply and enroll at local universities/colleges
LatinX will take place:
Saturday, May 5, 2018, 10AM-2PM
