PHENND is hosting its first Gear Up info-session at Saint Joseph’s University on October 18th, 2016 @5:00PM.

PHENND is partnering with various universities within the Greater Philadelphia region and also the school district of Philadelphia to support a federally-funded college readiness program known as GEAR UP. In essence, PHENND GEAR UP is looking to recruit college students to become our GEAR UP Coaches, who will then serve to provide effective tutoring services to surrounding public Philadelphia high schools and their feeder middle schools (services targeting specifically 8th and 9th grade students).

The info-session will provide:

– More information about the program: the logistics, expectations/guidelines, and the benefits.

– Process in becoming a GEAR UP Coach.

– Q&A
