Collective Impact Program Coordinator (Community Outreach), Safe-Hub – Jul 21

Posted by Safe-Hub Philadelphia on July 18, 2023

Endorsed by the United Nations, the German Presidency and Michelle Obama, Safe-Hub is a globally recognized, award-winning platform that uplifts communities and develops young people’s potential, on and off the sports pitch. A Safe-Hub is an ecosystem with a world-class infrastructure that consists of an artificial turf sports field connected to community buildings and a local economic development zone. It provides a physically and emotionally safe space where young people can access opportunities and support through sports and services that focus on personal development, health, digital education, employability, and entrepreneurship. Safe-Hub currently has impact-driven programs in South Africa, Germany, and the US.

Safe-Hub established its first US operation in North Philly. Since launching in August 2020, the Safe-Hub team has worked with over 600 young people from Philadelphia’s most resource-constrained neighborhoods. Through local partnerships, community engagement, and high-quality soccer-based program implementation, Safe-Hub is revitalizing North Philly’s public spaces, bringing together the diverse community of Kensington through sport, play, and community resource access.
