Code for Philly Meetup

Posted by Code for Philly on September 22, 2014

Code for Philly—a Code for America Brigade—would like to invite you to come join us. We are PHL-based developers, designers, catalogers, organizers, and other citizens working to build a better Philadelphia by applying web technology to government and communities. We meet weekly, usually Tuesday evenings, and work on a variety of projects building PHL 2.0. You can join an existing project, create a new one, or bring in something you’re already working on and get CfP to help out. We welcome and encourage everyone with all skill levels to participate as we believe that you learn best by doing.

Our events and RSVPs are primarily hosted on meetup: http://meetup.com/Code-for-America-Philly and mirrored here for easy sharing: https://www.facebook.com/groups/code4philly/

Next Meetup: September 30, 5:00 PM

Code for America is a non-partisan, non-political 501(c)3 organization founded in 2009 to bring web-industry professionals to work with city governments in the United States in order to promote openness, participation, and efficiency in municipal governments. Through three programs Code for America helps local governments harness the internet. Through the Fellowship, Code for America connects developers and designers to local government. Through the Accelerator, Code for America provides seed funding, office space, and mentorship to civic startups. Through the Brigade, Code for America helps local, community groups reuse civic software.
