Job Description
NorthEast Treatment Centers is searching for energetic counselors for its adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Ideal candidates will have some experience in a drug and alcohol setting and a Bachelor’s degree in a human services discipline (see list of majors below).
You will provide assessment services, maintain an active case load of clients, and maintain client clinical charts in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health standards, as well as other state, county, federal, and CARF standards.
Office setting is in a behavioral health care facility for persons receiving drug-free treatment for alcohol and other drug addictions and/or mental illness.
Facility has administrative offices and treatment space. Travel to other NET sites and outside meetings as needed.
Employee must be able to work a 40-hour week, Monday – Friday. Hours are scheduled consistent with program needs and some evening hours are required.
Working hours are also based on program and client needs, and may vary and change accordingly.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with clinical specialty in administration or the human services).
Experience working directly with the chemically dependent and/or dually diagnosed clients preferred, but not required.
Counselors must be able to speak, read and write grammatically correct English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Must be organized, detail oriented, compassionate and energetic!
