Closing the Gender Wealth Gap Virtual Forum: From Extraction to Equity: Tackling Wealth Supremacy – Jan 17
Posted by Women's Way on January 16, 2024
Our first Closing the Gender Wealth Gap Forum event of the year, From Extraction to Equity: Tackling Wealth Supremacy, will take place virtually on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 4 PM EST.
In our pursuit of a more equitable economic system where all women can thrive, it is crucial that we first understand the dynamics of our existing system before we can move forward and fix the problem. To delve into this conversation, I am excited to share that Marjorie Kelly, Distinguished Senior Fellow with The Democracy Collaborative and author of Wealth Supremacy: How the Extractive Economy and the Biased Rules of Capitalism Drive Today’s Crises, will join us to explore the connections between wealth supremacy, white supremacy, and the gender wealth gap.
This virtual event is presented in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia and will be streamed over zoom in both English and Spanish thanks to translation services provided by el Centro Integral de La Mujer Madre Tierra.
