Clinical Research Program Manager – Medical Financial Partnership (MFP)

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Medical Financial Partnership (MFP) is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the daily operations. The MFP houses administrative and programmatic activities for a range of financial wellness initiatives, including programs that address poverty through tax preparation services, financial counseling, direct cash transfer, child development accounts, benefits enrollment and optimization, and outreach and advocacy efforts. The MFP’s strategic plan includes continued focus on these existing initiatives, as well as expanding to new topic areas, integrating the MFP’s expertise, and programming across the CHOP enterprise, external program dissemination, and diversification of the MFP’s funding portfolio.

This role will work with the MFP Director and hospital/primary care leadership to operationalize, track, and measure strategic plan goals and timelines. The manager will also coordinate the activities of the MFP, including operational, communication, financial, and administrative procedures. The position will help to coordinate the efforts of multiple interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, resource navigators, research and clinical staff, community partners, and outreach and communications staff. This role will report to the Director of the MFP and have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Office of Community Relations (Healthier Together).

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred experience:

  • Seven (7) years of project management
  • Three (3) years of program administration experience or managing a research group (or similar), including budget administration, financial planning, and grants management
  • One (1) year of lead, management or supervisory experience in a clinical environment
  • Previous experience in an academic institution
