The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the daily management of the ACT team program operations and supervision of Team Leaders and others. Responsibilities also include program development and staff training. This position provides back up for Team Leaders as needed. In addition the Director of Clinical Services has responsibility for oversight and resolution of licensing, credentialing and billing issues. The following responsibilities are examples of, but not limited to, the work performed:
Responsibilities
Supervise Team Leaders (4)
Represent Pathways at site visits, inter-agency meetings and conferences
Attend scheduled meetings, e.g. team rounds at least once per week per team, full staff meetings, clinical case conferences as needed, supervisory meeting, etc.
Collaborate, as needed, with the Executive Director
Ensure that teams comply with applicable state, federal and local regulations, standards and requirements re: service delivery, documentation, billing and reporting
Collaborate with Compliance Department re: internal chart reviews, incident reports and client grievances
Coordinate staff training with assistance from the Compliance Department
Promote team building
Ensure that program and clinical decisions comply with the philosophy, core values, procedures and policies of the agency
Identify problems and implement solutions to clinical issues with housing
Provide continuous follow up re: client issues
Provide on-site and on-call support and assistance with crisis management
Identify need and participate in program development including research, grant and proposal writing
Provide training for community agencies as requested
Assess/Develop effective reporting systems
Learn to use the Credible data management system at the “expert” level, being able to then help train the clinical staff
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Licensed Master’s Degree clinician credentialed in social work, rehabilitation counseling, psychology or related field
Minimum of 6 years mental health experience which includes staff supervision
Patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion and sensitivity to persons with disabilities and other minority populations
Excellent written/verbal communication and computer skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
