Climate Solutions Acceleration Fund Round Two – Apr 30
Posted by Second Nature on April 6, 2021
We are now accepting applications for the second round of the Climate Solutions Acceleration Fund.
The Climate Solutions Acceleration Fund (Acceleration Fund) is dedicated to supporting innovative cross-sector climate action activities driven by colleges and universities. The Acceleration Fund was first introduced last year at the 2020 Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit. Projects awarded funding in 2020 fostered long-term, campus-community partnerships and had the potential to scale climate action activities beyond a single-year grant term.
Similarly, for this second round, Second Nature will be awarding funding to projects that focus on long-term, campus-climate partnerships. However, this year, preference will be given to projects that place an explicit emphasis on climate justice/equity and engaging with communities of color.
Higher education institutions that are Climate Leadership Network signatories and/or University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) members are eligible to apply. Note: colleges/universities that were awarded funding in the first round are not eligible to apply for second round funding.
Eligible projects include those that would use the funding for implementation of existing climate action projects or to support climate action planning activities.
To learn even more about what projects are eligible, the application timeline, and how to apply, please visit our Acceleration Fund – Second Round page.
The application deadline is Friday, April 30, 2021.
